How to train your Doodle or Aussiedoodle

Caring for and training an 8-week-old Aussiedoodle puppy can be a fun and rewarding experience, but it also requires patience, consistency, and a lot of time and effort. Here are some general guidelines to follow when caring for and training your Aussiedoodle puppy:

  1. Potty training: I will start by establishing a regular potty schedule and take your puppy outside frequently to the designated potty area. I will use a grass turf inside to teach them where to go potty and reward them with praise and treats when they go potty in the designated area.
  2. Socialization: I will also expose your puppy to a variety of people, animals, and environments to help them become well-adjusted and confident.
  3. I have mentioned before on the website, I will begin a basic obedience training program: I’ll begin teaching your puppy basic commands such as “sit,” “stay,” “come,” and “heel.” Consistency and positive reinforcement are key to success.
  4. Crate training: I will introduce your puppy to their crate gradually and make sure it is a comfortable and safe place for them to be.
  5. Exercise and playtime: Every day they will be provided with plenty of opportunities to play and burn off energy, but also need you to make sure they continue these activities and then have plenty of rest and downtime afterwards.
  6. Feeding: Feed your puppy a high-quality, age-appropriate diet and stick to a consistent feeding schedule. I have provided suggestions under the “Food & Diet” tab.
  7. Regular vet check-ups: I will keep your puppy up-to-date on all their vaccinations and provide them with regular veterinary check-ups to ensure they stay healthy. I have these details in the contract. Please read the contract and be knowledgeable of your responsibility as well with these designer pups.
  8. Grooming: Aussiedoodles require regular grooming to keep their coat looking healthy and shiny, it’s best to consult with a professional groomer or a veterinarian to determine the best grooming routine for your puppy.

It’s important to remember that all puppies are different, and what works for one may not work for another, so be patient and flexible as you learn what works best for your puppy. And always consult with a veterinarian or professional dog trainer for guidance.

Mini Aussiedoodle Dogs famous for their intelligence

Our Mini Aussiedoodle dogs are famous for their intelligence, which makes them easy to train. They love to learn new things and will follow commands with precision.

A good way to start training is by teaching your Mini basic obedience commands such as “sit”, “down”, “stay”, etc. You can start by using treats or verbal praise as rewards when they do something right or perform an action correctly on cue. Once they have mastered a few basics, move on to more advanced commands such as walking on a leash or something more complex.

Your Mini Aussiedoodle can outsmart you, however, and they can even be prone to stubbornness if training is not kept fun and game-like. Stay on top of training and begin as early as you can with this clever canine to ensure he or she grows up happy and well-rounded.

Training a Mini Aussiedoodle requires a bit of patience and consistency, as well as games that keep them focused and motivated. Avoid aversive training methods like scolding or force, and instead use positive reinforcement like treats, praise, patience, and consistency.
